Shimano Tribal TX-5A Carp Rod
The latest version of the iconic TX-5, now with even better parameters and appearance than ever before! The TX-5A model is equipped with a blank using Nanosheet technology, which provides up to 35% more power while simultaneously reducing weight by about 15% compared to other carp rod models. This was achieved thanks to modern processes allowing for the use of less resin bonding the carbon fibers through their appropriately selected weave. Additionally, the blank is subjected to a hardening process under Shimano HPC pressure, ensuring that the resin is evenly distributed between the fibers - ultimately affecting the great performance and responsiveness of the blank. To further enhance the quality of finish and performance of the blank, it is finished with a 3K mat and includes a Biofibre addition, further increasing durability. The PacBay Minima guides used in this model not only match the rod well but also support the blank's damping during casts due to their light weight. The butt, known from the previous model, is now finished with a WinnGrip 3K polymer mat. This finish not only gives the rod a unique appearance but is also non-slip, which is appreciated during fish hauling. The rod is available in as many as 8 different models, allowing efficient fishing with every carp method - from set casting by boat to long-distance casting. A very interesting model that Shimano decided to release is a rod with a length of 10 feet in the Intensity version! Despite the 3m length of this model, during tests, it was possible to regularly achieve about 200-yard distances with a 4-ounce load!
